Taxi Screener Doesn't Know What a Vocoder Is

I was a little disappointed that my re-imagined cover of Mr Sandman by The Chordettes got returned. I kinda expected it to get returned for not being usable to the library, but that's not what happened. Instead, the screener thought the vocals were too robotic and processed. It's a vocoder, and that's the way it is supposed to sound. It's used a lot by bands like ELO, Daft Punk, etc. Anyway, I'm not normally one to complain, but I just thought that the people listening to these listings would be a little more knowledgeable. You can listen to it and see what you guys think.

hmmm...
kinda wonder, then, what the limits of "re-imagined" were supposed to be.
I thought your track would be a slam-dunk, exactly for that reason. :?
Still a fan here, for all that's worth.

I don't think the problem here is the use of the vocoder per se but the extremeness of it. The vocal is so over-processed it is very distracting. Cool cover otherwise. 8-)

So I think it's unfair to say the screener doesn't know what a vocoder is. As I said, it was just way overused here.
