Thank you 396 for awesome critique on returned NFL cue.

Yet another great, encouraging critique from TAXI that definitely makes me want to remix and resubmit the cue for next time. The cue is "Return of the Warriors" on my Soundcloud page if you want to listen.
I repost in its entirety with my comments in green:
"The ideas are definitely right here. Heroic brass with the percussion underpinnings. It sounds like you really listened to the references and wanted to write for this genre, which is awesome.
That is exactly what I did! How did you know (ha ha). Actually it was my first attempt to write in this heroic genre. I figured I wouldn't get a forward the first time, but thanks for letting me know I'm going in the right direction.
The biggest issue is the main snare. It sounds weak compared to the rest of the cue, but needs to provide an integral strength to the whole thing. I would definitely try to beef up that sound. Think more of a big snare ensemble like you would find in a marching band or military band.
Well, I've heard of flute orchestras, but never a snare ensemble. You always learn something new at TAXI
That kind of overdone percussion, with a big focus in the mix would bring this cue to the next level."
