Thanks for the good feedback on the recent general solo-to-small ensemble classical listing, and for the forwards of course! One submission was returned for length - it was 1.5 minutes and the listing called for 2 minutes. I knew it was short, but submitted anyway. I'd made a comment in the 'listings' category that libraries should know that insisting on 2 minutes eliminates a lot of music, especially baroque music (one of the a las was one of the Bach 2 part inventions, none of which are 2 minutes!). Michael himself answered my post, much to my surprise, and said that those time limits are not necessarily hard and fast. But how you tell? I guess I should have called Taxi.
Anyway, I was 7 for 9, so I can't complain. But that problem of short movements, especially baroque music and early classical, abides.
thanks again
