I got a return on three tracks for a spooky/tension listing and your critiques were great.

I'm very new to this whole thing and definitely believe that feedback is a gift. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to the tracks, that was nice to hear!

I'll dial back the busyness and try to be a little more sparse with the next one. I was thinking that might be an issue for these tracks, but I'd never submitted to this type of listing before, so I wasn't sure.

I like 'em. Foggy Woods is my fave.

My tip is to 'clump' the busyness into edit points, i.e. occasional crescendos/hits.

Anyway, keep edit points in mind, if they are being specified in the listing (stinger/button endings, etc).

What is a good example of an edit point?

In a lot of underscore cues, they need to have a mini climax the editor can use to cut to (door opens! guy gets shot! bad guy appears!).

They will often need to lead in to it.

the idea is to give editors something to work with dramatically, *and* give them places that are easy to edit, since they usually don't use the whole cue.

that is help them to dramatize events with a punch of music, and give them places to cut.
