50s CLASSIC COUNTRY SONGS WITH FEMALE VOCALS a la Patsy Cline are needed by an established and successful Music Publisher in L.A. who has secured tons of great Film/TV placements for many TAXI members. Be sure the tone and approach of the lyric/vocal are true to the referenced artist. Original songs only, please Ð no covers for this one. Solid performances are a must and recordings need to be Broadcast Quality (great home recordings should be fine). They offer a non-exclusive, 50/50 split deal - you keep your original copyrights. Please submit one to three songs on-line or per CD, include lyrics and bio. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Thursday, March 26, 2009. TAXI #S090326CReview:(#253)The vocal quality is there, but the arrangement is too stark for this listing for broadcast quality. The verse melody is good, but the chorus does not really stand out, since this melody is also used in the verse.Davis, the style and the lyrical concept is very close to the listing request. The arrangement could be more fleshed out to sound closer to the target. The request is quite specific and what is needed is a song that sound like the lost track of Patsy that no one has heardArrangement could use fleshing out with additional instruments. Not broadcast quality.HiHave accepted Taxi's critiques over the past year. Some have encouraged me to re-write ( I process I used to believe my songs were too sacred for ) hone and improve for those who are willing to pay the $$ for music. This one didn't make it. It is a primitive basic arrangement, but back in the day they were primitive. Does JB not sound like Patsy? She got an 8/10."Great home recordings should be fine"Let me know if you think I a forward should have been granted to " Mend My Broken Heart"Also , what song did get forwarded?I don't know how to put insert my taxi page so you can listen on this link www.myspace.com/davis.songsthanks
