Would be good to get others opinions abt this though... Hit me with Ur best shot! Throw me some eggs if my voice hurts Ur ears!... though that would only motivate me to do a Christina Aguilera cover UPBEAT COVERS OF POP/DANCE TOP 40 HITS (from throughout the years) WITH VOCALS are needed by a Major Video Game Developer and Manufacturer for one of their most popular games. Uptempo songs only. This is a game that incorporates dancing, so the songs need to be full of energy and fun. Songs can be male or female vocals. Broadcast quality is absolutely a must, though great home recordings should work just fine. Please, no uncleared samples or profanity! These games give excellent exposure to the artists/bands behind the songs and the company likes to promote the artists they feature. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. Hey man,First off, i think you did a really good job here overall. I really liked what you did with it. Good sounds and production.IMHO, I think what kept you from getting forwarded here is the chorus. You did a really good job of building the track up, but then when you get to the hook it just drops off. It seems like you took out all of those cool synths you had going on when they should have come together to form a really catchy, unique hook for the vocals. The hook was mostly bass, drums, and vocals. You bring some cool synth stuff in but its kind of at the end and sparse.I think that if the chorus was a bit thicker and more exciting instrumentally you would of had a much better chance of getting forwarded. You really want to structure your song where it builds up to the chorus, with the chorus being the most exciting part and then come back down for the verse. For me as a listener, I felt like there was a nice build up and then the chorus was a big let down. It really lost that energy you had going.Otherwise, I thought it was very well done. Loved the synths you used and the way you implemented them.I think I might like to hear you do a Christina Aguilera cover -Steve

Sounds good to me. I think sometimes maybe a screener might just not like the "character" of a certain person's voice or something . . . that's all i got-

Hey Kel,Probably biased but I love your version. I heard Britney the other day....and thought how much better yours is...I dunno......I'm not a screener so what the heck do I know......Just surprised!! On the other hand this is a very strong track and it is just a stepping stone to better things...either through Taxi or by some other route....Don't get discouraged...your stuff kicks butt.As Bill implied above........subjective opinion still plays a role.......that's all I can think as to why it was returned.....Derek

Well, I think you did an excellent job on this one. I think the screeners are like a jury sometimes. If the don't "feel" it, than they can click any box they like so it doesn't get forward. That's the problem with Y/N listings. Clicking the "vocal performance" box doesn't say exactly why you were not forwarded.
