Here's the listing:MODERN ROCK/ELECTRONICA/METAL SONGS are needed immediately by a Music Supervisor who is currently working on an Independent Film. They are looking for songs in the range/style of a modern day version of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold.” NO COVERS please. The music will be used during a comedic “club fight” scene in the film. Stylistically, think of a sexy/low/dirty “rock growler” groove. They DO NOT want classic rock songs, 70’s jams, slow rock songs, or extremely heavy metal songs. They will mostly be using the song as an instrumental for the background of the fight scene, so the instrumentation should be strong enough to stand on it’s own. They prefer songs with vocals, but exceptional instrumentals will work. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. I had forgotten I had this song but then when this dispatch listing came through I remembered it and thought it might have a chance to fit what they were looking for. Since this listing was looking for a low rock growler, I changed up the vocals a bit to try and get that vibe. At some point Audiorayne is gonna put his vocal awesomeness on the track. I'm very anxious to see what he sounds like on it. Anyways, this one was returned due to the vocal performance, and I've got no objections with that. I know I'm not a great vocalist but I thought I'd give it my best shot and see what happened. Not really complaining about this one. Hey.. Cool vibe Blue.. definitely that audioslave vein.. your vocal seems to work to me.. it seems kinda buried in mix though... I think for a more hardcore sound it works well actually.. maybe they wanted a more "commerical" heavy sound ala Chris Cornell.. I'd like to hear what audiorayne does with this too...

I really like this tune! Vocals and all! I really wished this had succeeded as it would have given me hope for my sorry excuses for vocals. Mostly the reason for my doing nothing but instrumentals. Enuff of that. The whole track seems too heavy to me for the listing. Personally, I would have chosen a different guitar sound and gone for something that sounds more Nugent-like. Those are difficult choices for listings like this because they probably would have rejected on the basis that it would sound too 70s... You've got it goin' on!Keith
