A Question

I'm posting this in the Taxi Review Station because I have a question for screener 309.

On this particular critique which by the way is for a Road Rally panel listing, screener 309 had this to say:

"The song is radio-friendly, but for the purposes of placement potential, the song could be more compelling."

My question is - if the song I am submitting is "radio-friendly", why isn't it compelling to be forwarded? Radio-friendly songs make it into placements frequently, I imagine. This isn't for a specific listing but for the panel. They don't listen to radio-friendly songs anymore?

I think this is a reasonable question to ask. If it's good enough for radio, it should be good enough for placement, no? Pop songs are constantly in film, tv and ads.

I forgot to mention that this totally positive with the sole exception of this being returned.

It is frustrating dealing with these faceless screener's, isn't it?

The screeners may read the forum but do not answer. So, questions here may get read or may influence thinking, but we will never know what the screeners really thought.
I ask the question here so the screener can see it. For me, the question is for the screener. You're right. We don't know what the screener is thinking. So no one hear can answer for the screener except the screener.

What do you mean by influence thinking? I posed a question. Would you not have a question for someone who said your music was good enough to be on radio but not in film, TV, or ads?

Given the screener won't answer, what is the purpose of the question? For instance, you might want to make the screener explain more next time, in this sense influence him/her.
The purpose is in the title:

Taxi Review Station. Liked our review. Rave about it. Hated it. Let us know about it.

I'm letting Taxi know that I don't understand not only this feedback but others as well which is why I asked the question.
