A Question

I'm posting this in the Taxi Review Station because I have a question for screener 309.
On this particular critique which by the way is for a Road Rally panel listing, screener 309 had this to say:
"The song is radio-friendly, but for the purposes of placement potential, the song could be more compelling."
My question is - if the song I am submitting is "radio-friendly", why isn't it compelling to be forwarded? Radio-friendly songs make it into placements frequently, I imagine. This isn't for a specific listing but for the panel. They don't listen to radio-friendly songs anymore?
I think this is a reasonable question to ask. If it's good enough for radio, it should be good enough for placement, no? Pop songs are constantly in film, tv and ads.
