another learning opportunity

Hi everyone -
Since joining Taxi last month, I have submitted one track for a listing and one for a custom critique. Both of these songs received 6s and 7s. I think that is a pretty good start - When you get forwards, where do they sit in the scale? I am guessing 9 & 10s
My first submission got returned yesterday with the following comments:
The song submitted - Claire's Music Box. I joined taxi in part to learn how to improve my compositions and get real-world feedback and I certainly didn't expect my first submission to get forwarded. I look forward to improving as I go along.
So, Thanks for the comments #275. I appreciate them and hope to continue to get better.

Now that I listen back to the track, I have to agree that less is more and I plan to re-visit this tune with these suggestions in mind.hello. thanks for sending in the music. the track has a good vibe and with minor adjustments, can make the right impact. as both, the accordion and cello impact lyrically with sustaining parts, it may be best to omit one to avoid conflicting similar instruments from struggling for space- the less is more philosophy will result in more clarity, drama and intimacy for the arrangement. its worth the fine tuning to get this piece to blossom into a gem. go for it and good luck!
