Return on a listing for DEMO PRODUCER b/c of LYRICS??

Just got a Return for a song I submitted to listing Y101029MP (MODERN POP DEMO PRODUCERS a la Dr. Luke etc.) and the only stated reason that it was not forwarded was lyrics. The listing was run for a "Major Producer/Songwriter" who needs someone to produce his demos..not write lyrics, PRODUCE. I've had my fair share of frustrating TAXI returns but this one takes the cake...

Hi aunderberg....this is just a guess...but maybe the listing was looking for all aspects of production including lyrics...Y/N listings can really be tough when you get a return because whatever they check off seems to be more confusing than bonified help...hopefully some more members will comment....

You should check with Taxi. With Y/N listings, very occasionally the screener just accidentally checks the wrong box. It might be as simple as that. Of course, I haven't read the listing text to know if there was more to the stated requirements.

So drop Taxi an email or give them a call at 800 458 2111. I'm sure they'll take a peek and clarify it for you.
