Excellent cue sent to the wrong listing IMO.

It feels lively, teensy bit quirky, great for comedy or light action. It is not intense, epic, dramatic.

Maybe an idea would be write out things (sounds, instruments, rythm) that make a piece of music epic, intense, dramatic...

Personally I find most of my 'classical' favorites are intense and dramatic, to me the examples they gave are masculine intense and dramatic, and I would consider your piece more of a feminine intense and dramatic, such as Habanera-Bizet or Nutcracker Overture-Tchaikovsky. The masculine being more about triumph, war, conquest and the feminine being more about love, birds, flowers. That's only my uneducated viewpoint, I don't even know if there is such a thing as an official masculine or feminine designation for this.

Thanks for the reply- appreciate the thought- and actually if the examples they gave were different Id totally agree;
The reason Im thinking differently is because the pieces they wanted are the Valkyries and Carmina Buranna-
2 very classically oriented orchestral pieces that dont have those big huge drum sounds like the Hans Zimmer score you have would have asked for.

also thanks for the thoughts on masculine vs feminine- I know they talk about that in world music a lot- but thats an interesting analogy.

Your piece sounds dramatic to me in the "time is passing and serious people are walking somewhere on the street and the scene is being set", rather than "intense and dramatic and the walking people suddenly find themselves in the middle of an action film trailer!"

Your piece didn't have the "epic" quality that is so common these days, although it was dramatic. But the drama was almost more dramedy than straight up drama.

Sorry I'm late to your party. I can only agree with what the others have said. Your piece is great and well done, but off-target. It's quirky, almost comedic, rather than the intense, dramatic action vibe that is evoked by Carmina and Valkyries. IMO, Carmina is tame compared to modern epic music. But it stands as the quintessential epic choral piece. I think the vibe this listing would be shooting for is the kind of thing you'd hear from Immediate Music or Two Steps From Hell, or, yes, Zimmer.
