Examples of syncopated POP vocals?

Hi All,

Finally got a couple of songs nearly completed since joining TAXI last year.
Does anyone have any good examples of syncopated POP vocals to help our singer get a better flow on the lyrics - or do you have any other helpful feedback on this song?

I think the vocals on our Slippery Slope of Love (POP) are good but it seems they need to flow better (with some syncopation) so all the words don't land exactly on a beat - what do you guys think?

thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Jeff!

Not really my genre, but I will mention something I heard that made sense ...
I'm hearing lately, a lot of vocal phrases aren't beginning on the (1) beat as much anymore. They're coming in on (2's) and sometimes in spots you wouldn't expect. Does that make sense?

There's a lot repetition in your song (which is good) but maybe a little too much. Maybe confirm that with Rhianna or someone similar.

Just my 1.5 cents,

Thanks for the feedback Peter,

we'll work on this to add more variety - Rihanna is a great example!
