Question about Bluegrass instr submit

If the tracks for my Bluegrass songs were NOT played by me... in other words...
using the backing tracks with the vocals muted... may I still submit those to the Bluegrass instrumental listing? I have copyright registration for the songs, but have not (yet) listed them with my PRO.

The songs are 4:19 & 5:11 in length, and have harmony vocal parts. I'd have to figure a way to mute those and/or cut & splice the piece into something more in the 2:00 range. Eh?

Heck - since I don't have the gear or immediate access to the individual tracks, I may even need some help to trim down and mp3 or m4a format... can THAT be done convincingly? :?

Newbie questions - thanks in advance.

(ed. fixed some typos...oops)

Hey Peter!
I can hear how that would work...
"Jacob..." seems a little fuller in the instrumentation.
If I was in your shoes, I'd start with that one!
They both sound great to me

If you own or co-own the master recording(s), you can submit. You'd need access to the multitracks to do the edits, though.

Thank you, Mojo - it was awhile ago I posted this; but it's still something I hope to get around to one of these days.
