Replace song with better mix after submitting?

Hey y'all!
I have a question. I submitted a song to the "Children of the Revolution" listing (Anybody else take a crack at that???) ...then promptly came up with a better mix!
HAHA I know this must have come up before!!!
Can a member replace a submitted song with a better mix and retain continuity of the listing and submission? I would in this case if it's allowable!!!
Thanks for the word.
Timi
ps I'd love to hear your own Children of the Revolution songs!
pps My membership is set to expire at the end of Feb and I'm not sure if I will renew... I hope to... but I will try to respond as best as I can.
Thanks again!

I don't think so. I think once you submit the song, it's submitted. But you can certainly delete that one and replace it with the new one (although I would wait until I heard back from the submission first).

YES you can replace the existing file of any song by going to your TAXI music page and editing your track to upload a new MP3. [Don't delete anything you've submitted for a listing until you've got the results!]
The caveat is .. if the deadline for the listing has passed, you will not know if the version screened was the old one or the new one.
If the deadline hasn't passed yet (and it hasn't quite yet, you still have 2.5 hours)... then go ahead and change the file as screening hasn't started yet!!

Well that's basically what I was saying, except hummingbird said it clearer.
Of course you can replace it, no problem. But I thought you were asking if you could replace it and be
sure that it would be the new one that would be listened to. And the answer to that is, unfortunately, no.

I had this question too! So say you've submitted, it's been returned, and you've reworked the piece. Do you keep the name the same, or do a V1, V2 in the title? Retitle? Put a note in the lyrics section?
I don't want the screeners to think 'Oh I heard this (original version) for three listings' and not know it's been reworked each time.

Megeath, the screeners will base their decision on what they hear at that moment without preconceived notions of the track.
Timi, to correct something Vikki (hummingbird) said: If you submit a song before the due date, the screener may screen your submission before the deadline expires. This happens specially on listings that get a TON of submissions. TAXI assumes that you've sent them what you want them to listen to. So if you wait too long to update the MP3, then you run a greater chance of them listening to your un-updated track. I can also see where the chances of a submission getting screened quickly is running higher now that TAXI is allowing screeners to "remote" screen from home or their place of business.
I usually take into consideration the time of day and the day of the week to "assume" how likely a screener will have listened to my track after I clicked the submit button.

Thanks Russell and Timi, for starting this topic. I figured the screeners would be able to listen anew..
