This is a problem: CUMBIA Listing #D170325CI

I was just listening to the ala's for this listing and was dismayed to find that the last one, "Escucha el Ritmo" by Spanish Harlem Orchestra, is a cha cha cha (from Cuba) and not a cumbia (from Colombia). Was it an error, i.e., whoever wrote the listing just pasted the wrong link? Or did they just not understand the difference between these styles?

While I think it's great that the "Latin" listings have been getting more specific lately, this makes me wonder just who is putting these Latin listings together, and who is screening the submissions.

I noticed that too. Latin genres are as diverse as EDM! ;) Lots of times the customers provide the a la's to Taxi.

I used to work on a cruise ship in the main ballroom band, talk about serious Latin music lovers. If a couple requested a samba we played a rumba, or if they requested a paso doble and we didn't get it quite right, they would be on us like crazy. :)
