Hello peeps,

In regards to listing #S220126TR (MODERN ALT-ROCK SONGS).

In the listing it suggests that "Lyrics that don’t have references to specific names, dates, times, brands, places, and profanity could make your Songs more useable for sync placements."

Does this mean don't submit if there is a specific name and/or profanity, or does it just mean to be aware that it could be a concern?

For your songs to get placed in Film & TV it's much less likely that they can be used if they contain specific names / places and profanity is a no no for much TV...at least make a clean version of the song too.

As the exception that proves the rule a friend of mine made good bank on a song that included San Fransisco as the main part of the song - I think it got used in some sports programming but he made a couple of grand all told.

To be fair he had written that song a few years prior to knowing anything about sync, so once he knew he stuck to the rules but they can sometimes be broken.
