any genre??HELP!! LOL

I have done a few of these and they always return saying "good work.. close, you are all around it but this isn't the genre we are looking for" ummm it says "any popular genre" HAS NO EXAMPLE "to avoid confusing" :o I have sent country, rock and pop/rock lol so any advice on this one? :?

Since the range is wide, but they're asking for 'mainstream' appeal - seems you might choose the genre by considering the AGE GROUP most-likely being the subject or targeted.
In other words - "think 'young'..." speaking of TIME. You might work a lyric up about appealing to the young listener and their perception of TIME.

Also, they hammer on MODERN. If your blues-rock (for example) isn't contemporary enough, it'll be 'sorry, not what we're looking for'.

I agree. The listing was clear that they want "modern sounds".
