Hey folks, quick question: what does "5-year reversion clause" mean? I saw it on this new Latin listing-# Y090323LA.Also, this new listing: LATIN SONGS and INSTRUMENTALS are wanted by a successful Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed and placed tons of TAXI writers/songs over the years for use in corporate videos, TV, film, radio, and commercial productions. For SONGS, they are looking for both traditional and contemporary styles and lyrics must be in Spanish. For INSTRUMENTALS, they are looking for ALL STYLES. Your track can have a lead melody or simply be a great-sounding backing track/bed. Overall, the performances/production must be excellent and the recordings need to be Broadcast Quality (great home recordings should be fine). They offer a very fair deal with a 5-year reversion clause. Please submit one to three songs and/or instrumentals online or per CD, include lyrics for song pitches. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Monday, March 23, 2009. TAXI #Y090323LA... Says ALL STYLES of instrumentals, so if I take Taxi for their word, this means literally, all styles- from punk to folk to country etc......Thoughts?Thanks.Skoog

You're right that the term reversion clause just means there is some provision for reversion; what exactly it is would be spelled out within said clause.If this company is who I think it is, their reversion clause is contigent on them not making you money, if they do the reversion can no longer be excercised...
