Listings Question??

Hi,When a listing comes back around like the dispatch one for smooth jazz that says the client didn't take anything that was sent, does anyone know if the same screener reviews for that listing. The reason I'm asking is if a different set of ears is listening, then possibly, something that was sent the first time around ( and got returned) might have a chance.Just wondering!Bob

Bob,It does say in the listing that if you submitted to the regular listing that it is recommended that you submit different material. I may rework a track I submitted that was returned. Still could be worth the $5 fee.Chuck

Can't say for sure if you will or won't get the same person.

Thanks Chuck,- I've revisited the ones that got returned and fine tuned the mix- even if I get the same screener maybe this time it will sound better. Thanks Vikki, - I'll probably take a chance and hope for a different screener- ( then again the screeners listen to soooo many tunes maybe they won't recognize it and second time). Thanks!Bob

I recently sent the same song in twice for a listing - submitted it and then forgot I'd submitted it and did it again. One listener passed on it. One listener forwarded it. Same song, different ears. I've had experiences where my cowriter and I both sent in the same song for a listing and one of us got a forward and the other got a return. SSDE.

SSDE.Obviously, no two listeners in the world will hear something the same way... Even the same listener on different days sometimes hears things differently. My vote would be that when this happens for the same song and SAME LISTING, to contact taxi, and ask about it. Posting about it here is good (respectfully as you did highly recommended) but the quickest way to resolution, one way or the other, is to contact taxi directly. They do read these boards but not every post and every day. Time is often critical on these things.HTH Casey

And I believe this can be answered by going to the listening panels at the Road Rally. A panel of 4 can be evenly divided as to whether a song fits the genre or works as is. If you had critiques on those listings then some of your questions should already be answered.
