thedivys thread made me realize I'm close to 3,000 posts now. Hmmm. I used to be shy. Guess I'm over it. Or the forum dots are like family. On some boards, the more posts you make, the more "levels" you attain. So the stars just indicate the level of the poster. They have nothing to do with Taxi membership or anything like that.
