Hopefully I am posting this in the right place...How many of you perfectionists upload your song submission in the nick of time then decide you want to edit and re-upload your revision? When do you think the screeners start listening once a listing deadline has been reached? Anybody have any feedback on this kinds of situation? And which submissions get played first, (maybe alphabetical order, or random selection?)..hmmmm

I don't personally have an answer for you, but I think it's a GREAT question, Ricci. My guess is something like this has probably been asked before, but I've never seen a thread like this since I've been a member. Thanks for asking. I'll be paying attention...Ted

Yeah it's risky, but many of us cram to make a deadline, and then cram for another day or so, remixing. Deadlines are tight, and you do this at you own risk. If a screener goes to listen to a tune and it's being re-uploaded, well, you're outta luck.

I bet Taxi would be open to you calling to let them know if you'd like to update your song...they've been very flexible with me in the past in this sort of situation.André

After that, there is no way of knowing when it might be listened to. Who knows, the screener(s) may be there at 5 pm Monday to do a shift.

Thanks for checking out my thread and giving your thoughts. Just an added note: I sent a question in to TAXI a couple months ago on this same subject because I just didn't know how the whole upload thing worked. For example when you first upload your song and pay the $5 fee, does THAT particular upload go into a "screener basket" which is the one they will be listening to and critiquing?..So my question at that time was, "How do we specify which upload is the one we want screened?" I see the edit button right there next to each song, which tells me that its possible to upload that song again. But does that only effect my play list on my profile page? The reply I got from TAXI explained that, "The song that is available at the time of the screening session will be the song that gets the critique." (In other words, shine the "screener basket" theory because TAXI listens to the songs from your play list. (God I hope this makes sense!.. ha ha!) Right now I'm waiting to hear back from TAXI because I sent in the same question that I addressed on this message board yesterday which is: "WHEN DO THE SCREENING SESSIONS BEGIN AFTER A LISTING'S DEADLINE IS REACHED?" pEACE..OUT!

There's no set answer to this, it would vary from listing to listing and depend on a number of factors.Anything you do to an uploaded song after the deadline has passed, you do at your own risk. Taxi tries to be flexible in "exceptional" circumstances (when it's some outside reason that causes you to miss the deadline). However if they granted people an extension to the published deadline on a regular basis, the turnaround for critiques would be negatively affected.

How do you know they listened to the new version? Maybe they listened to the old one and that's why it was returned.
