Hi all. These are the three tracks I'm submitting for: The Owner of a new Music Library needs a wide range of well-known PUBLIC DOMAIN CHRISTMAS INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) for use in film/TV/commercials, etc. This production music veteran signed dozens of TAXI writers to his previous company, and wants to repeat that same type of success with this new venture. He needs tracks with button ending - no fade-outs. This company will offer a standard exclusive deal where they will control the publishing rights of the songs they sign, the writer keeps the writer's share of the royalties, and the license fees are split between company & writer. Great performances are essential. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Oct. 9, 2007. TAXI # S071009XMAway In A Manger (solo piano)http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... ream=1Here We Come A-Caroling (solo piano )http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... m=1Toyland (solo piano)http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=1Any one else submitting to this?Charlie

It's October 8th, and it was 92 and humid here in NJ...very hard to get in the Christmas mood, but just thinking about it made it a little cooler!Charlie

But for a minute while I was listenin' to all y'all, it was allllllllmost like I was a kid again, goin' sledding.

I went medieval on this one.Wassailhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=6484 ... =trueLoved you guys' stuff. Charlie - you sound like Vince Guaraldi reincarnated. Chris - I love the sweet intimacy of "Silent Night" and then the big fat power of "What Child Is This." Way to go, and good luck!Kathleen

Quote:I went medieval on this one. Also very nice. It's interesting how you can throw out a request as generic as PD Christmas songs and get, not only different songs, but such varied perspectives. Very cool indeed.I was thinking the same thing about Charlie and Vince Guaraldi but I couldn't think of his name when I was responding.

Hey Kathleen...those tracks sound great! Great playing...forwards for sure! (IMHO)CharlieP.S. Love Vice Guaraldi...a film producer I work with always wants me to do a "Guaraldi type"track in each of his films....most are trio settings though, but I've had to listen and learn...I'm glad that it's good music that I have to copy!
