Hey Everyone -

The listing calls for contemporary rock/orchestral composers. Do you take that to mean they are looking for both Contemporary Rock and Orchestra composers (i.e. you could do one, but not the other)? Or do you think they are looking for a hybrid rock-orchestal composer? Or, maybe, they are looking for someone who can write both Rock and Orchestral pieces as opposed to either or?

Just trying to better understand the listings. My thought is they are looking for either or, but when I think about it, I'm not sure. Maybe I will give taxi a call.

I read it as a hybrid composer, because they stress that the composer needs to know the most current trends etc.

If you call,I'd like to know what they tell you in this regard. Also, it seems that they are not really looking for exact trailer music (with frequent stops and starts and with long drones), but something more along the line of what Vincent Pace posted in the Peer to Peer section. Again, this is my best guess judging from my interpretation of the listing.

Yeah, that is kind of what I was thinking after I thought about it. I haven't called because I have been busy with family stuff. I think I will take a pass on this one. I am working on upping my orchestration chops, so I have been busy just trying to get things to sound realistic.
