Indie rock on target?

Post by AlainStoll » Mon Nov 26, 2012 1:05 pm

Hey guys!

I saw this listing, made a track and would love to know whether this is on target enough for this listing??

The song is called "Just To Be There" on my Profile http://www.taxi.com/temptingtone

Thanks in advance for any feedback!!

Al

"INDIE ROCK SONGS and INSTRUMENTALS in the style of "Banquet" by Bloc Party, "Always Where I Need To Be" by The Kooks, "Teddy Picker" by Arctic Monkeys, "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet, etc., needed by a Music Production Company for immediate placements in various Ad Campaigns. NOTE: This is their FIRST listing in this genre, so please submit your best material! QUOTING THE SOURCE: "We're looking for TV-ready mixes with clean lyrics, that are suitable for advertising purposes." Songs should be UNIQUE and PASSIONATE in the style of the referenced artists, while remaining ORIGINAL. Your vocal performance MUST be CONFIDENT and LIVELY with lyrics that are UNIVERSAL - avoid featuring names, places, and specific story lines. If the Production Company licenses your music for a commercial, you will receive 80% of the negotiated fee. MALE and/or FEMALE vocals are both OK. While they prefer songs with vocals - excellent instrumentals are also needed. Instrumentation and vocal performances must be top-notch! MID-to-UPTEMPO pieces will work best! You must own or control 100% of your composition and master recording. Broadcast quality needed (great sounding home recordings are OK). Please submit one to three songs and/or instrumentals online or per CD, include lyrics (if applicable). All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Friday, November 30, 2012.

Hey Al sounds pretty good. I think it could work for this listing.
I listened to the songs on this listing as well and I think the
drums are something that really stand out and probably what
they are looking for. I think you nailed the drums down pretty
well. Good Job and good luck with the listing!
