Quote:MODERN ROCK/POP SONGS (with vocals - no instrumentals) a la the Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Jimmy Eat World, Puddle of Mudd, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, Seether, Incubus, etc. are needed by a major cable TV network for their TV promo spots for the upcoming College Football BCS games. Male or female vocals are OK. With this particular game, they are looking for lyrical content associated with Missouri, "The Tigers," and colors of Black & Old Gold; as well as Arkansas, "The Razorbacks," and the color Cardinal Red. Songs with just one of the above themes or those that include a combo of the above themes are OK. Now, these lyrical themes are not necessary, but are strongly preferred. Other football-related lyrical themes that will also work: college football, championship, triumph, winning, achievement, high energy, etc. Think positive - nothing negative, no downers. Up-tempos only - no ballads, nothing slow-tempo. The chorus of the song needs to be the meat of the song. They asked us to extra selective when screening for this project. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. As always, we will notify everyone via e-mail, whether your submissions have been Forwarded or Returned. Submissions must be received no later than 12:00 NOON, Pacific Standard Time (California time), Thursday, Dec. 13th, 2007.Stupid Ducks. Stupid, stupid, stupid Ducks. Didn't they realize that if they had made it into a decent bowl game, they could have gotten ME to write their promo song??Kathleen
