Good Sunday Mornin`New Listing The Owner of a new Music Library needs a wide range of SOLO INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) for use in film/TV/commercials, etc. All instruments are OK - piano, sax, flute, guitar, harp, etc. etc. So, does this mean just 1 instrument? Not guitar + harp + flute?Sorry, but I'm skint an`dunnae want tae waste $5 bucks...

Good question. I'm not sure if they really mean unaccompanied or solo with some type of backing, it would be good if TAXI could clarify for this listing.I've decided to err on the safe side and send some solo piano pieces. Mazz

I'm not gonna disagree with Chris cause he wrote the listing and has more information that we do ...but FYI, generally in library music solo instrumental is ONE instrument. Not an instrumental solo with a backing track. If I were to submit to this listing that's what I'd submit. I think you'll increase your chances for a forward that way...

Yeah, a solo is a single instrument. An instrumental with a solo part in it with accompaniment is not a "solo" even though the instrument playing the melody would be said to be playing a solo.Aahh semantics.

Hey, Willie.I realize it's sorta too late for this posting to have any great impact, but I got forwarded for that exact dispatch listing, and what I submitted was the RIGHT HAND ONLY version of a piano tune...not even the left hand's track. I was caught off guard, but thrilled to get the forward.I may have taken it to the extreme, but yes, a solo means --at the very least-- one single instrument. Apparently. <heeheehee>Ted

Hey, Willie.Wow. I have just read ALL of the postings here, and I was wrong, according to Chris. I agree with Matto, and you're safer sending ONE instrument, but Chris' words REALLY do open that up to interpretation...Say it again, wow. I should read before i open my big mouth...Ted
