Just penned this one; wasn't sure whether to post it here, or on the Collaboration Corner.
I'm open to a composing collaboration, if you feel so inspired:
"Wooden Shoe"
Verse 1)
Little Dutch girl with the braided pigtails
Wide smile and dimples, too
I like the tradition of your dress
And on your feet… cute wooden shoes
Chorus)
I’ll take you anywhere you like
Just wanna gaze into your eyes, so blue
We don’t need to even say a word
I’d like to stay a long, long while… wooden shoe?
Verse 2)
Wooden shoe like to go with me?
Visit some lands across the sea
Down a canal in an old wooden boat
See a thousand-year-old castle with a moat
Bridge)
It would be romantic to just get away
Find a cottage in the glen… or a hut by a bay
We wooden need no steenking badges
Just a bottle-a-wine and two tall glasses

Its cool Pete, good play on words. I like how the bridge is near the moat.

How about a line like "I tried to feed her biscuits but she wouldn't chew?"

Best intentions with the laughs. I'm not too sure of my understanding of Dutch music this side of Oom pa pa.

Cheers mate.
Les :)

Thanks for the listen.
I've not put any thought into the music for this whatsoever.
If you've got an idea, have a go at it; and let me know.
Cheers.
