We tried for many yearsto have children of our ownWe had almost given upbut one day when I got homeshe had a smile on her faceWhen she broke the news to meThis year we'll have an Angelunderneath our Christmas tree(Bridge)Decorated up the roomin pink and fancy swirlsbought a music box for herthe dancer sways and twirlsit got more excitingwhen she kicked and moved aroundwe were thrilled and truly thankfulfor the happiness we'd foundNow the wait is overShe is in there giving birthJust Three days before Christmastime of joy and peace on earthbut when the door swung openDoctor said there is bad newssaid he could save the babybut the mother we will lose(Chorus)One Angel goes to Heavento make the Heavens shineOne Angel goes with Jesusone to these arms of mineOne Angel lives in spiritboth in my heart and mindOne Angel goes to Heaventhe other left behind(Bridge)She pulled me close beside herSaid Darling, have no fearlooked up and smiling sweetlyshe kissed away my tearsTell her mommy loves herbut I have to leave her hereSay I've gone to be with Jesusbut an Angel's always near(Chorus)One Angel goes to Heavento make the Heavens shineOne Angel goes with Jesusone to these arms of mineOne Angel lives in spiritboth in my heart and mindOne Angel goes to HeavenOne Angel's left behind(Tag)One Angel goes to HeavenOne Angel's left behind

If just the lyrics make me tingle then imagine what the whole song will do? and I'm not even female either! Very nice work indeed!!

Just dropped back by again can't believe this ain't got more attention than this. If I was a big time producer I would snatch this up in a minute.

Thanks Scotty, JJ and MichaelI am really pleased that you liked it. I should have my studio up this weekend so I can record the tune to it. Then I will post it in Audio. Maybe I can find some one to write a beautiful tune to it.

Hey Jesse,Great Idea and foundation on this lyric. It's just a tad over the top for my taste, but then again so is "Don't Take The Girl" by Tim McGraw and look where that one went.I wish you the best in crafting a melody to make this lyric shine. Once again, excellent concept and well crafted.Best,Cisko

I saw Gene Watson perform in Branson. He opened for John Michael Montgomery and stole the show, IMHO. I didn't know he was still performing. I use to live in Houston too, way back when, and Gene was huge there. Awesome voice and style! Good luck Jesse!Buc
