need help with lyrics

I have a first verse and chorus for a song but just can't seem to come up with a second verse ( or third ) or a good bridge for that matter. Wondering if someone could lend a hand, it's supposed to be a Brooks & Dunn type song even though I heard they were retiring. This is what I got so far: Boy Superman This happened long ago Fifty years or more By Grandpa's iron hand Ten sons worked the land As they fought for their meal Daddy grew up with a heart of steel They had no time to spend Grandpa died when he was ten Still remembers his last breath " Boys forgive but don't forget " ( is v1 clear enough? )c. And he wished he was superman So he could just fly away To a fortress of solitude Man, he'd really like to be that dude Run faster than a speeding train Fly higher than an aeroplane He wished he was Superman I'm open to any ideas story-wise as to where it should go , as long as the syllable count stays close to the first verse. Peace

I'm not seeing the connection between the verse and the chorus idea - why does he want to be Superman in response to a harsh father?
