Jones 11/05/2007) (song#4120)Woo woo, Midnight ZephyrKeep your big 'ol wheels rollin' down the trackWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrThe way I feel, my goal ain't to be comin' backI've got a mind to pack and goLike a forty mule Borax teamI wanna find your stack aglowPourin' out smoke and steamShe ran away with another manBut I ain't beggin' on my kneesI'm rollin' away fast as I canOn that Midnight Zephyr breezeWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrKeep your big 'ol wheels rollin' down the trackWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrThe way I feel, my goal ain't to be comin' backI'll be on my way down to Santa FeWith a whistle stop in San AntoneDon't look for me neither night or dayWhen that last trestle finds me goneShe'll be sorry for not doin' me rightOn a starry night I'll be on her mindLike a bird in flight I'll be out of sightListnin' to that Midnight Zephyr whineWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrKeep your big 'ol wheels rollin' down the trackWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrThe way I feel, my goal ain't to be comin' backWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrWoo woo, Midnight ZephyrWoo woo, Midnight Zephyr

The end of a love affair. You can't get more universal than that. Definitely an original title. At least for these eyes. Starting with the chorus is good. The opening line of the first verse should read I'm already gone as the singee ain't no darn good. The structure/form is good. Maybe a bridge? Good start. I like.....................................peace!

Thanks oxe57 for your input. However, I think I'll leave it as is. My reasoning is that if I changed the first verse to "present tense" (ref: "The opening line of the first verse should read I'm already gone"),I've got a mind to pack and goLike a forty mule Borax teamI wanna find your stack aglowPourin' out smoke and steam then I'd also have to change the second verse to "present tense", whereas both are immediately future.I'll be on my way down to Santa FeWith a whistle stop in San AntoneDon't look for me neither night or dayWhen that last trestle finds me gonethanks again...............LWJhttp://www.pic-a-pagediscounts.com/Real_Country_Lyrics3.html
