There’ll Never Be Another You ©2018 Robert George BMI

Friends and neighbors ask why I’m still single
They say I should open up and mingle
Though it’s kind of them to ask, they can’t penetrate my mask
And picture what I’m going through

They think time will help with healing
All the hollow pain that I’ve been feeling
O but they don’t realize, time will never dry my eyes
Cos there’ll never be another you

People said the light of day would find me
When it did it left me searching blindly
There’s no dawn that I could see, to eclipse your memory
You’re the vision in my view

Though I know the sun will rise tomorrow
The horizon has no future I can borrow
Ev’ry night and ev’ry day, just arrives to say
There’ll never be another you
There’ll never be another you

O how can someone be gone
And yet still go on and on

When I feel my soul begin to harden
I walk outside in our moonlit garden
Silent whispers on the breeze, tell me that the night agrees
There’ll never be another you

O how can someone be gone
And yet still go on and on

Because there’ll never be another you
There’ll never be another you…
