No idea who Pancho and Lefty are but It means if you hope to produce a song to licence for a Film or TV production the chances of a scene matching the lyrics you've written are infinitesimally small because of how subject specific they are.

I've mentioned before, I don't care about that. Are you a writer? Do you know anything about writing? Pancho and Lefty is a classic song. I'm surprised someone on a songwriting site wouldn't know what it was.

And who decides what's "too specific "?. I've had tv placements.

According to Wikipedia is was never released outside of the US / Canada...so I guess that's why nobody this side of the pond would have heard of it..Country is not much of a thing here, Locally famous maybe but not globally.
