I once paved my own path
Feeling too wise to fall
When I finally fell,
It hurt friends, as well
And may God help us all
I think of my mistakes
And, Lord, I feel so small
I’m starving for a friend,
I feel your hand again
And may God help us all

There were cracks in my wall
That I let pleasures fill
Now I see the sky,
At night and I cry
May God help us all
And help us all, He will
Sometimes my failures
Are all I can recall
But the mercy He gives,
Is my will to live
