Some Winds Are Never Gone
Some Winds are Never GoneI've heard said the Holy Ghostis just like the breeze that blowsthrough brown southwestern grassyou can't see it in the airyou only sense it's even therewhen your heart feels it move pastand there are things in life, young and old...big and smallfrom my farm to my wife, that wind has touched them allkicking up dust on these west Texas plainsthat wild breeze will always remainin a midnight cry...a morning songsome winds are never gonesome winds are never gonesome say breath is just wind that blowsmy love was flesh and bone...heaven knowscos heaven called her up aboveI can't b'lieve we'll touch no moreno...she's not the spirit of the Lordbut what could be holier than loveand like winter wind, searching for long lost leavesI still feel something within, blowing through mestirring up dust on these west Texas plainsthat wild breeze will always remainin a midnight cry...a morning songsome winds are never gonesome winds are never gonethey say wind rarely staysborn to roam...born to rambleand in a late night chillit may seem stillbut look close...is that a ghosthaunting moonlit brambleand causing my faith to tremblekicking up dust on these west Texas plainsthat wild breeze will always remainin a midnight cry...a morning songsome winds are never gonesome winds are never gone(c)2005 Robert George
