EclipseI've seen the day become darkness at noonwhen the sun gets covered up by the moonand when she walked in that barwith those legs, those eyes, those lipsother things shining bright,chandeliers and neon lightsthey were all slowly eclipsedI'd planned to just relax in that boothand nurse daydreams of rye and vermouthbut the soft grace of her handthe touch of her fingertipsduring the sway of our dance,all my dreams and my plansthey were all slowly eclipsedwe slipped into the shadows of nightwhere stars were distant floating shipswhen we made love our earthly delightleft the glories of heaven eclipsednow I've had other lovers since that nightand seen them reveal their naked lightbut when I picture her skinher honey shoulders and hipsthen no matter who I love,it's her I'm thinking ofall others have been eclipsed(c)2004 Robert George
