Glimmer-10 years ago I wrote a song-couldn't make it work

Glimmer - I've come so far! Ten years ago I wrote a song, with promise, but could never get it right...
Here's the new one, that I finally figured out (still needs mixing, but I'm excited about it!):

And, this is REALLY embarrassing, here's the one I wrote at 19, 10 years ago, when I was first learning Cubase (be nice!):

The main problem was that I was singing in 3/4 but had the drums (which was me on a midi key board, lol) at 4/4, and I was trying to make it too epic.
