Got my first upfront fee!

Today I was notified by PayPal about an upfront fee from a library.
Not an enormous amount but enough for a better VST library.
I take it as a step further to generate some income through music licensing.

That's awesome, congrats!!!
Can you tell me more? Was the upfront fee a sync fee? Or a buy out? what was it for specifically? Thanks a lot

Hi Jonathan,
this library pays a certain amount in advance just for releasing an album with them, sync fees, and any other royalties you will get when a track gets placed later. In this case, 800$ for a 12-track album.

Ah I see, ok, cool! That's really cool that they do that, I'm assuming maybe most libraries don't?
