Some of you know that I got involved in bodybuilding last Spring, kinda on a whim (I know, very random!). I made a few videos chronicling the transformation and process, from Day 1 all the way through three physique competitions. And of course, when making these videos, I used all my own music. Which was rather hard, because I needed to use things that weren't tied up in exclusive agreements, and I haven't signed any music non-exclusively for about 4 years now. But it was very fun to approach a project from the editor's end, where I got to choose music that worked, chop it up for timing, move around stingers for impact, and accent the emotion I was feeling at the time with music. I would recommend a video project like this to anyone, because it will give you a whole new respect for how the arrangement (edit points, spacing, and stingers) of a cue can make a world of difference to an editor.

That is impressive. Thanks for sharing your journey. The kind of discipline this took is the same kind of discipline you say it takes for success with music (except 5 years instead of 5 months!). Way to go, Matt.

Indeed - hilarious & true observation there, Paulie!!

Damn, that's quite impressive. I too am on such a journey, but the abs are still buried under the gut. We'll get there!
