My alt/indie rock album, A Hard Place, came out today! Stream it here:

6 of these 10 songs were actually written for Taxi listings. "Just Grow Up" was forwarded twice, but nothing ever came of it. And the other five songs written for listings were returned... some more than once.

If you listen on Spotify, kindly follow my artist page while you're there.

Thanks for checking it out!

Just for fun, here's some of the feedback from the "I returned or forwarded this song because" box on the Taxi submissions...

6 Days a Week
(Return) "The storyline and lyrics aren't compelling enough to drive the intent or emotion of the scenes."

Just Grow Up
(Return) "Track could benefit from further development."
(FORWARD) "I forwarded this because there are some awesome ideas and moments here."
(FORWARD) "The overall vibe, style and energy could be a good fit."

Chase Those Days
(Return) "The overall Style, Mood and Vibe are not quite right for this specific listing."
(Return) "Track could benefit from further development."
(Return) "I'm not hearing the extremely high bar hooks they're after."

The Sun is Off to Light Another Place
(Return) "The production could be more competitive with [the reference track] for this request."

The Things We Could've Done
(Return) "I didn't hear the kind of contemporary sound or choruses obvious enough to be as strong as requested."

If I Knew What I'd Be Up Agasint
I also had a bunch of returned feedback on this song... BUT it was mainly about the vocal, and I've since re-recorded the vocal based on that feedback. You can see a quick side by side of the old and new vocal versions here: https://youtube.com/shorts/aTH2333C3qM?feature=share
