hey everybody... I just got word that two tracks I signed with a music library back in March (indirect TAXI connection ) got placed in an episode of MTV's show Parental Control. I don't know which episode or when the show airs yet, but once I do I'll let everyone know! The songs are "Everybody" (re-titled for the library as "Nobody") and "Hidden Beauty" (re-titled for the library as "Precious Cutey") on my profile at
http://www.taxi.com/bigbluebarryOr you can hear them here:"Everybody" -

http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... am=trueThe library told me he just happened to find out about these two songs but that it's very likely that they've used other songs of mine as well but he won't know for sure until September when the cue sheets are released. He asked me to send more tracks like that. Anybody will fill in for me at my day job this week and pretend to be me writing code in C# so I can write some more tracks???? - Big Blue

Thanks Alan, Buc, Mazz, B, Lydia and Chris!Quick update... My library connection told me that the music sup's at MTV apparently really liked my pop-punk tracks and suggested that I send him as many this week as I can. So I ended up writing 2 brand new tracks for him last night. Still waiting to hear back from him on whether he wants to use them or not. Gonna try and crank out another 4 more this week. Not sure where I'm gonna find the time to do it, but I'm gonna give it all I got. Big Blue's 10 Steps To Success...1) Join TAXI2) LEARN as much as you can about where your skill sets and ability levels are at. Be realistic, drop your ego and LISTEN.3) Write material that falls squarely in your realm of expertise, and produce that material at the highest quality level that you possibly can4) Submit that material to the appropriate listings5) Don't wait around to see if you get forwarded or returned and immediately begin to repeat steps 2 - 46) When you get a forward, immediately repeat steps 2 - 47) When you get a return, immediately repeat steps 2 - 4, but pay special attention to step 28) When you get a deal, be polite, courteous, and professional with the client, ask them if you could send them more material and then repeat steps 2 - 49) When you get your first placement, scream like a little kid, jump up and down in your kitchen, make a fool of yourself in front of your wife, then repeat steps 2 - 410) When you get your royalty statements, don't focus on the numbers to the left of the decimal point, be grateful that there even IS a decimal point, then repeat steps 2 - 4There you have it... I'm sure there are other paths to success, but that's the model that I used and it looks like it's beginning to pay off - Big Blue

hey Kel, thanks buddy!UPDATE #3: I wrote another track last night and submitted it. Just got the word that he wants it as well, so that's 3 more tracks written and signed in the last 2 days! Yeah baby!!! Every time this particular library signs a song, I have to send him a license form after he tells me whether or not he can use the song. Well, in this last email he told me to just start sending in the license forms at the same time I submit the songs I like that - Big Blue
