My name is Sandro Friedrich. I am a studio musician and composer who plays over 100 different flutes and other wind instruments from all over the world (duduk, fujara, shakuhachi, hotchiku, didgeridoo, low whistle, tin whistle, bass flute, traverse flute, soprano sax, jews harp, bag pipes, etc.). I also perform live in various bands and combinations. My references include Andreas Vollenweider's "Book of Roses" and "Eolian Minstrel", Marcel Barsotti's "Ethnoworld 4" and Kenbiroli films' "The Drummer", which has been chosen for the Sundance Film Festival 2008. I have been involved in many film music projects, notably with one of Germany’s most renowned film music composers, Enjott Schneider, whose music for "Die Flucht" (The Escape; Magnolia Award at the Shanghai Film Festival 2007) received the German TV-Award 2007 for Best Music."As musician and composer his strength lies in the originality of his melodic lines, the power of his rhythmic grooves and his creative ability to competently and flexibly support diverse musical atmospheres. " (from www.powerflute.ch)My technical knowledge also enables recording jobs via internet in addition to traditional studio work. I'm looking for contacts with composers and producers. If you would like to know more, you will find over 80 sound examples, references, pictures and a complete instrument list on www.powerflute.ch
