I had one of my songs cut and used on The Kentucky Linemen's new album called Outlaw Country Revival. It's track #3 called "In The Dirt".

Well there we go!! Wow... congratulations!
Without giving any details, it would be interesting to hear the general path from concept to the final deal. Getting a cut, that's a side of music I don't do and never really hear about directly. Let me guess though, it was as easy as... you woke up, wrote your first ever song, sent to three places and *BAMMO*! Right?

If it wasn't that easy it'll be a huge disillusionment for the "if the screeners weren't in the way I'd have a hit" crowd.

Thanks a lot Mark and Dave! The hard copy CD's come out in two weeks. I wanted to have the song demo'd and a friend of mine in Nashville who is friends with the band, Jay Buchanan, said he was working with this awesome band that could really do it up and said he'd see if they might demo it for me. After they demo'd it Jay called me and said the band loved the tune and wanted to use it for their album project. They rocked it out a bit more than the original demo, liked the cut and used it. It was just pre-released for download today on CDBaby. They said it'll be on itunes soon and in stores after the hard copies come out.
I also have another song, What She Wants, under consideration by a well known country artist. Said I'm in the final pile and they will let me know very soon if I made the album. Keeping my fingers crossed.
