lyricist looking for a new songwriter to collaborate with

Hi everyone,

I've just joined Taxi the other day so it's time for me to get busy with writing lyrics and stop dragging my feet . I don't want to look back and think to myself that I wasted my time on Taxi. I want to improve as a lyric writer and see if I have what it takes to succeed in the music business. It's time for my dreams to become reality.

I've written lyrics with or without a melody. I prefer to write lyrics with a rough melody so I can get an idea of where the music is going. Strangely enough for me, having a melody gives me an idea what topic to write about. I'm not against writing without a melody either. I'm pretty versatile and open to suggestions.

I've written lyrics in the adult contemporary, pop, rock, country, folk, and even tried euro puck genres. You can find most of those songs on my taxi page or my soundcloud page. If you like my music and think we could be a good team, leave me a message or send me a private message.

Thank you,

Mary

Hi Mary,

Sounds good. Is that you singing some of the songs on your taxi page? I joined Taxi recently too and would love to collaborate. I write lyrics, music, produce, play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, hammered dulcimer and sing.

"There'll Be Hard Times" and "Would You Be My Valentine" are tracks which features my lyrics, music and voice, although someone else produced them. They were both written in 2013. "Would You Be My Valentine" has been forwarded twice by Taxi, although no signings. I assume it's because it's a Valentine song and not flexible enough for placements.

"You Put A Smile on My Face" is a song I specifically wrote for Taxi. The production is all me in my home studio so it's not as good as the others but I'm getting there.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for the response. No, I don't sing my own songs. I've been lucky enough to find some decent, young vocalists to work with on my songs.

Great job with your songs. I really like all them.

I would definitely be open to collaborating with you. I need practice with my lyric writing and I'm sure I could learn a lot of new skills working with you.

I'll send you a PM with my information.

Mary,

I've just found this tonight. Are you still writing or looking for someone to write with at this time now? My music takes on a different character when I'm working with lyric's. If you want to send me a pm then that's fine to. I usually get notification when I get one.

Thanks,

Alan
