Happy new Year - I hope that someone's New Years resolution and mine are aligned

Had some forwards in Dance genres but not enough to retire to the Bahamas yet.

I'm looking for top line writers and/or singers who know they sit well vocally & melodically in the EDM/House/Pop Electronic genres.

I think my composition and engineering chops are up to the task and I can write lyrics and sing, but main crit coming back from reviewers is melodies could be more on target and vocals not always right for genre. Please have a listen for yourself, if you think you could do better on the lyric and melody side then contact me - if you think you could do better over all then obvious go your own journey.

Happy to tell life story later but as far as you what you'd need to know in making the next decision to contact me. I have a family and a day job, still I average 2/3 hours each week day and up 10 hours on weekend working on music. If deadline need to be meet I simply don't sleep - you do that when you're dead.

So if you think you've got the writing and vocal styling of (white soul) John N/Jess G, (white girl big notes) Foxes/Ellie G, (could not give a 'monkeys') Lana or (general Euro Accent) Tove L/John M then I'd love to hear from you. Equally if you are a talented writer/singer who have never worked in these genres, but can work out who I'm talking about and think 'yeah' I could do that' I'd also want to hear from you.

In 2016 I want to reduce the 'tragic gap' between where I am and where I want to be. I'll be doing on my own anyway but it would be so much more fun to have some travelling companions.

Best if the year to you all

Burt

Hi Burt,

My name's Ingrid and I'm a singer and songwriter from Australia.

I listened to some of your Soundcloud tracks and they're cool. I can understand the feedback about the vocals - a female vocal would add a bit of youth and sexiness, and that seems to be de jour in techno. I was singing over them, and imagining a Lana el Rey-ish voice with a smoky sound and a little jazzy bounce and twist here or there would work nice.

You can hear some of my stuff here: https://soundcloud.com/ingridelkner

If you're interested in discussing collaboration, get in touch: ingrid.elkner@gmail.com

Cheers,
