Honestly , I think you gotta let go of that - talented singers will always put their own spin on things " that's what they do "....imagine if you wrote a song for Mariah and told her not to deviate from what's on the page..do you think you would get the best result ?

Let the singers sing and you might get a better outcome.

You can. But you are wrong.

You are basically writing a part for an instrument ( the voice ) that you yourself are unable to play . and then forcing them to perform within your own very prescriptive guidelines. Singing is actually all about feeling, interpretation and artistry, little wonder you you still haven't found anyone.

IMHO, it depends on what your personal goal is.

I imagine by posting songs to Taxi's forum the goal is to have your music signed and ultimately placed somewhere ? Vocal delivery is an art in itself, that's what sells songs.

The Peer-To-Peer board is usually the place where critiques & reviews are being asked for, and welcome.
The Collaboration Corner serves more like place to connect - like THE WANT ads; that's the idea; and the reason I posted here, as I did.
