CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS a la WALKER HAYES are needed by the Sr. Director of A&R at a Major Nashville Label. You can think along the lines of Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, etc. for stylistic direction. This new artist needs hit songs — memorable hooks, compelling lyric stories and a unique twist on familiar ideas. Conversational, "every man" lyrics will certainly rise to the top — make sure a youthful edge is present. Mid to up-tempo material will be preferable, but all tempos will be considered at this point. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than January 26, 2009. No, I didn't. I don't really know the first thing about GETTING a demo done (mostly worried about the 10th and 20th things, though).
