Producer/Composer Looking For Lead Guitar Player!

Hey Guys,
I'm looking for an experienced electric guitar player to collaborate with on a track I composed titled "Black Grass". The sound is a bit cinematic but I want to achieve a mix of both cinematic and rock. What I need is a steady moody melody for the verse. For the Chorus I want the energy to pick up! But remember! Its the chorus!, so keep it simple as well. For the bridge part(strings solo) do your thang! If your up for it let me know. After completion of the project you will be credited as a co-producer like, "Produced By John & Doe"

I hope someone finds this interesting enough to want to bring this track alive.

Hey Vett,

You should tell tempo and Key for something like this.. saves a lot of headache for the bozos on the receiving end. /points to self

Sounds like it is D.. popping back and forth with a G... and at 126-ish..??

Also, how heavy of Rock are you wanting? U2, Beatles, Hendrix, Nickelback, etc..? Light distortion? Hard Rock/Metal distortion? or Bluesy??

Should the verses lean towards a sad emotion or happier?

The bridge seems a little empty for just a solo.. so would you want rhythm track on GTR there as well?.. will that last chorus have vocals as well? Or can that be tread upon with lead work?

I could probably lay down a track or two in about 30-40 minutes, but I need a little more guidance... I don't wanna hand ya Megadeath if you were thinking U2. HAHA

Hey Rob,
I'm still getting use to these online collaborations so excuse me for not including very helpful info. :-) lol

- Song Key is D
- Tempo: 126.00 (Nice guestimation)
- Nickleback or Muse. Not too heavy
- Versus should have a sad emotion
- I more less not sure what I want for the bridge. Infact once I have your takes on it I was going to make some changes. You can add a rhythm guitar track as this will not effect my next move. As for the last chorus I want a voice but I was actually thinking if we can repeat the chorus a second time and fade out with some lead work.
- Just so you know the production isnt finished yet. I need to make changes for the drum patterns and transitions....

Hey Vett,

I started two ways of doing the verses, one is softer and more sad sounding.. used the minor. The other is well... heavier... hehe Take a listen to the 1st verse then into the 2nd for the heavier version.

I am thinking maybe use that 2nd chorus stuff for building the bridge and keep the 2nd like the first. /shrug Really not sure what you envision other then what ya have already.. obviously hehe

I also am thinking of doing the clean guitar in the intro before the drums come in. To give it more build...

Anyway, go to my Taxi page and check your song, I only have up to the end of the 2nd verse.. because I don't know where to go with out checking with you first, or what to copy/paste if it's gonna be that easy.

Rob

EDIT: Hey Vett, I deleted the song on my page, it's been a couple weeks and I am busy with too many projects now. Sorry, good luck in finding someone.

Hi Vett -

I'm not sure if you are still looking for guitar for this composition but I did have fun with it tonight anyhow - you can hear the very rough results at http://www.taxi.com/stevethompson , "rough_gtr_black_grass".

It is very rough (and apparently I have to replace the pots on that guitar) but you can get the basic idea.
