We are still looking.
I think this is a great song and great for film-tv. It fits a lot of scenes.
So, if you put a great vocal on it, we'll pitch it hard to film-tv, so we can all hear it broadcast someday.

Wish I could do the job, but I can't. Just want to chime in and say to potential talents that Dean and his collaborators are totally pro, and a breeze to work with. Dean is a master at marketing too, so, don't hesitate with this gig, if you at all are in the ballpark! 8-)

Dean,

May I encourage you about your "Tight High Wire" demo?

I've been singing a while and I've had the opportunity to sing with some great people. And you know what? Have you thought about using the vocalist that's already on the track? Seriously. Is it you?

Sometimes in trying to be like everybody else we do become like "everybody else" and lose our OWN unique sound.

This is just my opinion Dean but his voice has a uniqueness to it, a nice timbre, and reminds me of a couple singers out there while still being different. I love his voice!

And, personally, I think he fits the tune better than the "referenced" YOU TUBE idea. Why? Think of your song title - tight HIGH wire. Your vocalist has a tenor voice which matches the lyrics and story you are telling. Nice.

With a few minor changes to the way you "hid" his voice behind effects you have a very tasty sound. I wasn't going to say this but it may communicate my thoughts more clearly to you. He gives the vocal an almost "Sting" kind of feel.

All that to say I wish you the best, I like the tune, the concept, and the voice...

Hey George,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

That is Doug, my co-writer singing, and we have considered having him sing the song. Then we went away from that idea. I was just thinking maybe we should go back to him.

It's interesting, Doug worked with Sting on some songs back in the 80's.

Thanks again,
Dean

Dean,

You are very welcome...

Please tell Doug "me like."

And regarding your comments "I was just thinking maybe we should go back to him" and "Doug worked with Sting on some songs" - how cool is that?

Sounds like we were meant to have this conversation.

TTYL.

Hey Dean,
I think Doug sounds pretty cool on the track as well. I'd just pull back on the Autotune so it's not so obvious. If you decide to go a different direction though, I'll apply for the job. :) I'm available and have my own studio to record vocals for you if need be. Here's a 60 sec vocal montage. Either way, good luck with the song. I like it a lot. Very relaxing. Neil

Neal,

Nice sounding tracks. Don't need vocals but what would you charge to produce one tune?

Just curious...

Hi George,
I heard a couple of your songs on your Reverbnation, and you're right... You certainly don't need a vocalist. Your voice is great. What a range!

For a full production, I charge $495, and then I have some other options for different things - doing 3 songs at once, guitar or piano/vocal, adding single instruments, etc. The rate page is here if you want to check it out - www.makemeasong.com/songpricing

Thanks for your interest!! :D
