recommendations for a new audio interface?

Hi,
My old M-Audio Firewire 410 just bit the dust.
Any suggestions for a new low-latency device?
I rarely need more than two inputs, but must have at least 6 outputs for surround mixing.
(I am using Cubase 7 on WIN 7).
Thanks.

I've used a few different I/O's, but right now I'm really pleased with my Steinberg MR-816csx. It's a firewire card with more than enough ins and outs for what I need. The pres are warm, and all the inputs are very clean. Latency is very low, not as low as my older RME card used to have, but I prefer how the 816 integrates with cubase as that is the DAW I use. It's definitely a card I could recommend. I do pretty much all my recording through this card.

We use cubase 6.5 & 7, been using the focusrite pro 40 has 8 pres and a DSP - Works real well, also low latency. Drivers are stable with windows 7, works well with cubase or with any other DAW. Updates available coming soon for Window 8 soon for focusrite pro 40. You may also want to check out the other focusrite - Saffire PRO 24 DSP. They come with their own plugins. We are a Nashville Recording studio and we have this (for about a yr) with no problems.
