Would love to hear what hardware/software you use. I've only been into home recording for about 4 years and eventually want to upgrade, especially my computer and interface; but for now, here's what I have. (photo below)

Alesis QS8.2 keyboard (have played these since the QS8 came out in the
90s/awesome built-in sounds but I use MIDI almost 100% of the time)
Alvarez 6-string acoustic guitar (don't play this as much as I should!)
DeanZ electric guitar (same as above)
Rode NT1-A condenser mic w/PostAudio room filter
Sony MDR-7506 headphones
M-Audio Fast Track Ultra interface
KRK Rokit 5 monitors w/Auralex isolation pads
Dell Zino HD computer (Win 7, AMD Quad-core, 6GB RAM, 1TB HDD)
Dell 2TB external HDD
AOC 24" monitor
Mixcraft 6 DAW w/oodles of VST plugins

That looks like a fine set up, David!

I have a very old echo layla for my audio interface, going to a d/a converter, cant remember the name now but ts a decent one, to rokit 8's. Going in i have the neumann tlm-103 into UA 6176 into the layla. I'm running reaper with uad plugs, komplete and a recent new addition to the family, the maschine., some other vsts as well but those are my main tools.

That contraption behind the mic, do you find tha helps cut reflections from the room?

Where did you get that small keyboard pad below the screen, Dave?
I've been looking for a scaled down keyboard, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

It's a Dell RK906 keyboard; came with my Dell Zino HD when I bought it 3+ years ago. Don't seem to see it for sale anywhere now. It's very nice. Small, wireless and even has a trackball in one corner. Maybe you can get one off ebay?
